Now working as a Restoration Coordinator for the Nashwaak Watershed Association.

Delaney Brooks  (MSc)

Delaney completed her MSc in 2020 at the University of New Brunswick on Olive-sided Flycatchers.  

Now working with the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Kristen Diemer  (MSc)

Kristen completed her MSc in 2013 at Trent University on grassland birds.  

Now working as a Regional Biologist for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry.
 

Philina English  (PhD)
Philina completed her PhD in 2017 at Simon Fraser University (co-supervised by David Green) on whip-poor-wills.

Now working for DFO in BC.
 

Danielle Ethier  (MSc)
Danielle Ethier.  Completed her MSc in 2010 at Trent University (co-supervised by Chris Kyle) on American badgers.

Completed a PhD at U Guelph. Now working as a population analyst for Bird Studies Canada.

 

Melanie Farquhar  (MSc)

Melanie completed her MSc in 2017 at Trent University on chimney swifts.  

Now working as an instructor at Algonquin College. 

Josh Feltham  (PhD)
Josh completed his PhD in 2020 at Trent University on five-lined skinks.

He continues working as a professor at Flemming College in Lindsay, ON.

Leah Finity  (MSc)
Leah completed her MSc in 2012 at Trent University on chimney swifts.  

Now working as an actress in California, USA.
 

Barbara Frei  (PhD)
Barbara completed her PhD in 2013 at McGill University (co-supervised by Jim Fyles) on red-headed woodpeckers.

Now working as a biologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Elaina Geauvreau  (MEM)

Elaina completed her MEM in 2021 at the University of New Brunswick on a habitat conservation strategy for the Bais-des-Chaleur.  Now working as a policy analyst with Natural Resources Canada.

Heidi Harding  (MSc)

Heidi completed her MSc in 2021 at the University of New Brunswick on cavity-nesting waterfowl.  

Now working at the University of New Brunswick in the IT sector.

Courtney Johnson  (MEM)

Courtney completed her MEM in 2018 at the University of New Brunswick on vernal pool modelling.  

Now works as a wetlands biologist for the NB Dept of Environment & Local Government.

 

Ariel Lenske  (MSc)

Ariel completed her MSc in 2017 at Trent University on Barn Swallows and radio-telemetry.  

Now working as a biologist with Environment & Climate Change Canada. 

Courtney le Roux  (BScH and MSc)

Courtney completed both her Honours degree (2018) and her MSc (2020) at UNB studying Chimney Swifts.

Now works for the Nature Trust of New Brunswick.

Now PhD candidate at the University of Waterloo.

Doug Munn (MSc)

Doug completed his MSc in 2020 at the University of New Brunswick on black-legged ticks in New Brunswick.

Now PhD candidate at the University of New Brunswick.

Brennan Obermayer  (MSc)
Brennan completed his MSc in 2022 at the University of New Brunswick on Bald Eagle dispersal and movement.  

Now working as a biological consultant at Stantec.

Greg Rand  (MSc)
Greg completed his MSc in 2014 at Trent University on whip-poor-wills (co-supervised by Gary Burness).  

Now working as an assistant curator of ornithology at the Canadian Museum of Nature.
 

Matt Reudink  (Postdoc)
Matt completed his post-doc in 2011 at Trent University on American white pelicans (co-supervised with Chris Kyle).

Now working as a professor at Thompson Rivers University.

Simon Tapper  (PhD)
Simon completed his PhD in 2020 at Trent University on thermal ecology of Tree Swallows (co-supervised by Gary Burness).  Now a proud new dad and searching for a postdoc.

Val von Zuben  (MSc)

Val completed her MSc in 2017 at Trent University on Black Terns.  

She continues working as a technician for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry.

Shaylyn Wallace  (MSc)

Shaylyn completed her MSc in 2020 at UNB on wood turtles.  She was co-supervised by Dr. Graham Forbes. 

She now works as a Species-at-Risk Technician with the NB Dept. of Natural Resources and Energy Development.

Linda Warren (MEM)

Linda completed her MEM in 2018 at the University of New Brunswick on satellite telemetry of NB moose.  

Now works as Crown Marsh Rehabilitation Project Lead at Long Point Waterfowlers' Association.

Chris Ward  (MSc)

Chris completed his MSc in 2020 at the University of New Brunswick on Bicknell's Thrush (co-supervised by Tony Diamond).  He now works for the Canadian Wildlife Service in Newfoundland.

Hazel Wheeler  (MSc)
Hazel completed her MSc in 2014 at Trent University on chimney swifts.  

Now working as a program manager at Wildlife Preservation Canada.

Jingyi Zhang  (BScH and MF)

Jingyi completed both her Honours degree (2018) and her MF (2022) at UNB studying woodpecker cavity choice.

Now works as a biological consultant in China.
